Dr. Katherine Bandos is honored to be your trusted dentist in Kalamazoo, MI, but she doesn’t work alone. Behind the scenes at Kalamazoo Smiles is a hardworking team that’s dedicated to providing excellent patient care. Terra
Dental Assistant
Terra has been with Kalamazoo Smiles since 2016. She enjoys getting to know our patients and helping them feel more comfortable and at ease while in the dental chair.
Outside of work, Terra spends her time making memories and enjoying life with her husband, son, and two daughters. She enjoys sporting events, family trips, movie and game nights, and spending time with their large extended families. Terra is passionate about life, her role as a dental assistant, and bringing positive energy to our wonderful dental team!
Nancy
Registered Dental Hygienist
I graduated from Ferris State University as a dental hygienist and with a BA in allied health education. I have been with this practice for over 30 years. I love what I do and thoroughly enjoy meeting and establishing relationships with my patients. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my three adult daughters, husband Mark, and close friends, as well as running, hiking, biking, and traveling.
Katie
Office Manager
I graduated in 1993 from Kellogg Community College with an associate degree in applied science–dental hygiene. Even though I no longer work chairside, I enjoy using my years of dental experience and knowledge to help patients navigate the insurance and financial aspects of dentistry. My husband of 26 years and I have two teenage sons and three dogs. We have recently moved back to our hometown of Battle Creek where we live on 13 acres. I always enjoy spending quality time with my family, being outdoors, baking, reading, and watching movies.
Kathy
Dental Hygienist
Kathy has enjoyed being a dental hygienist since 1982. She has been with Kalamazoo Smiles since 2019. Kathy is married to her husband Fred. They have three adult sons, two wonderful daughters-in-law, and four amazing grandkids. She is involved in her church, enjoys family time, camping, walking, and doing puzzles.
Jeanne
Dental Hygienist
Jeanne joined Kalamazoo Smiles in 2019. She has an associate degree in dental hygiene from KVCC and a bachelor’s degree from Michigan State University. Her passion is to help patients have good oral hygiene and to be comfortable at their dental visits. Jeanne and her husband enjoy spending time with the grandkids. Jeanne’s hobbies include walking, biking, and traveling.
Brenda
Dental Hygienist
I graduated from Kalamazoo Valley Community College in 1985 with an associate in applied science and also studied health care services at WMU. I strive to make each visit pleasant and truly enjoy establishing relationships with patients while educating them about their dental and overall health. My husband and I enjoy gardening, cooking together, and playing board games with our son and daughter-in-law. I also love to stay active with aerobics and outdoor activities like biking, hiking, swimming, and skiing. You can find me relaxing with my cat Dusty and a good book in hand.
Annie
Dental Hygienist
Annie graduated from Kalamazoo Valley Community College’s dental hygiene program in 2022 after getting her bachelor’s degree from Western Michigan University. Annie and her husband Connor are expecting their first baby boy in January! She loves to be outdoors walking, biking, kayaking, and swimming. Her free time is spent with her two cats, family, and friends; watching a good TV show; or doing puzzles.
Kristine
Front Desk Patient Care Coordinator
In May of 2019, Dr. Bandos purchased Dr. Fillar’s practice after he passed away. Not only did Dr. Bandos welcome his patients, but she also graciously welcomed all of Dr. Fillar’s employees as well, which included me. I so enjoy seeing and catching up with all of our patients as they come for their appointments. I’ve gotten to know many of them well over the past 26 years. I enjoy my church and the family I have there, as well as crafting, music, good food, and literature. I do have a sense of humor, so I might be ready with a little joke from time to time. I enjoy church, painting, nature walks, and Star Trek.
Christyn
Chairside Dental Assistant
I had the unique opportunity to start dental assisting for my father at a young age and later worked with him full time for almost three years. I have been with Kalamazoo Smiles since the summer of 2019 and am having a great time. I love watching old movies; reading; camping; the Rocky Mountains; playing games; and spending time with my husband, son, and three daughters.
Autumn
Dental Assistant
Autumn started with Kalamazoo Smiles in July of 2023. She is new to dental assisting but is a natural to the dental field. She truly enjoys working with and getting to know her patients. Outside of work, Autumn enjoys listening to music and spending time with her family. She loves to laugh and enjoy life anyway she can.
Marni
Dental Hygienist
Marni joined the Kalamazoo Smiles team in 2023. She graduated from KVCC’s dental hygiene program with an Associate of Applied Science degree. She has also earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from WMU. Marni enjoys talking to patients about their oral hygiene care and making their cleaning appointments as comfortable as possible. In her free time, Marni enjoys golfing, yoga, getaways with her husband, and having fun with her family.
